Step 1: Hardware Setup

• On the connected device, open a web browser and type www.routerlogin.net in the address bar. Press the enter button on the keyboard to open the Netgear admin page.
• Next, you would be asked to enter the login details on the Netgear admin page. Enter the Netgear default username and password in their respective fields and click the login button.
• The default login credentials of your Netgear device is written on the printed label on the backside of the router.

Step 3: Configure the Netgear router settings

• Next, the basic web-management page of the Netgear router appears.
• The Netgear quick setup wizard will run automatically and provide the online instructions.
• Follow the step-by-step instructions provided by the setup wizard and configure the wireless settings.
• You can change multiple settings as per your requirements such as admin username and password, network name and password, Netgear wireless router firmware update, and more.
• Now, choose strong and advanced security settings to protect your home network from security vulnerabilities. WPA/WPA2 is a strong security encryption key.
• After you configure all the settings, click the ‘Apply’ button to save the changes.
